A sitting Batman, distracted with his cell phone, as if he were observing social networks, is at the foot of the tallest building in Quito.
The sculpture of the hero of Gotham City has arrived to be installed in the Iqon building, located in front of La Carolina Park and which is conceived as the tallest in the capital. Joseph Schwarzkopf, one of the Uribe Schwarzkopf executives, revealed on Tuesday, July 5, the sculpture that has been installed in the building's plaza.
The first to be photographed with Batman were the workers who currently work in the building that is under construction.
The installation is named "The World Has Changed" by Ecuadorian artist Leonardo Hidalgo. He is a neo-pop artist with a great international career who fuses various plastic disciplines inspired by real and fictional universal characters with impact.
"Batman alleged caretaker of the Gotham City (Quito) is distracted with his smartphone on social networks" (sic), Schwarzkopf posted on his Twitter account.
The promoting company stated that the sculpture will stay permanently in the Iqon. The work measures 2 m. high and weighs 150 kg. It is made with polyester resin with fiberglass patinated with matte polyurethane. Its manufacture lasted about three months.
